Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! I currently accept Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford, Oscar, Carelon, Quest Behavioral Health, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. If you do not see your insurance carrier listed, please contact your insurance provider to see if you have out-of-network benefits and if you are eligible for reimbursement for therapy sessions.

  • Yes, currently all my sessions are conducted via HIPAA compliant telehealth software. I currently service residents of California, New York, and Idaho.

  • I believe healing is relational and the best way for us to build a relationship is to spend enough time getting to know one another. I generally require new clients to meet with me weekly for at least the first six months of treatment, at which point we can discuss a reduced schedule.

  • Please don’t let this discourage you from reaching out! I offer a limited number of sliding scale slots to those who qualify based on income. If you are facing financial constraints, we can discuss potential options during our initial consultation.

  • The duration of therapy depends entirely on the individual. Because I emphasize the therapeutic relationship, I tend to prefer working with folks for at least six months to truly develop our relationship and achieve meaningful progress. Often, folks continue to work with me through additional items as they arise, while others choose to address these concerns outside of the therapeutic context—both of which I encourage and support! However, the length of therapy can vary based on your unique needs and goals.

  • Cancellations of sessions made within less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a cancellation fee equal to the cost of the missed session. If you fail to attend a therapy session without notice you will be charged the cancellation fee.

  • Virtual therapy can be a great option if you prefer the convenience of accessing therapy from the comfort of your own home, have a busy schedule, frequently travel, or live in a remote area. It’s suitable for many types of therapy and can be just as effective as in-person sessions. If you’re unsure whether telehealth is right for you, we can discuss your specific needs and preferences during our initial call.

  • Absolutely! This means I approach therapy with an open, non-judgmental attitude toward all consensual sexual practices and identities, including, but not limited to, sex work, kink, and unconventional relationships. I believe in supporting, exploring, and affirming sexual choices and expressions as part of overall wellbeing.
